Where have we come from?

Our Chief Executive Officer, John Hutchison, and his family have been in the business of providing Child Care services since February 1992 when they first entered the market in Queensland with the company Hutchison Child Care Services Pty Ltd.

During his time with this business, John was involved with all operational aspects, including the establishment of the Hutchison’s Child Care College, all business licensing processes, the IT strategy and new business acquisition initiatives. This business was later sold.

In early 2006, John founded Early Learning Services and brought together a team of dedicated professionals driven to deliver high quality developmental and educational child care services throughout Australia. This was in response to increasing government regulations making it harder for single-Centre operators to survive.

The company grew over the next year. On December 5 2007, a major milestone in the company’s history was reached with it listing on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).

From this time the company has grown to now own and operate or manage centres across Australia.
